As we've ticked over into the new financial year, we would like to welcome, and thank, our newest sponsor Club Liverpool!
Through their community grants program, Club Liverpool has joined with The Business Concierge to bring the Survivor Life Skills program to students in their area.
We are incredibly thankful that the club has seen the value in what we provide, and look forward to working together throughout the rest of 2019, and into 2020!
In the 2019/20 Financial Year we will once again be able to bring the Survivor Life Skills program to students in the Mudgee area, thanks to the ongoing support of Moolarben Coal.
We are passionate about providing financial-literacy and life-skills to as many youth as possible, and look forward to our yearly visit to the beautiful town of Mudgee. This has been a part of our yearly calendar for over a decade now, and we couldn't make the trip without the continued support of Mudgee Council and Moolarben Coal.
We are thankful, once again, to Canterbury Leagues Club and Hurlstone Park RSL who have renewed their support for the Survivor Life Skills program!
We look forward to working with the clubs to bring our program to the Primary and Secondary students in the Canterbury/Hurlstone Park area.
It's always exciting when we partner with a new organisation who appreciates the effect Financial Literacy can have on the well-being of their community...
With that in mind, we are pleased to announce our new sponsor Canterbury Hurston Park RSL!
With the support of the Club, we will continue to visit students in the Canterbury area, presenting our Survivor Life Skills programs and empowering students to take charge of their lives.
In the new financial year, we would like to 'Welcome-on-board' the Moorebank Sports Club!
Sporties joins our group of amazing sponsors, rolling out the Survivor Life Skills program across Sydney and NSW. Howard recently attended the Liverpool City Club Grants presentation night to celebrate the new partnership between The Business Concierge and Moorebank Sports Club.
As usual, it's been an amazing week visiting the students within the Mudgee Community. It's a week that Howard looks forward to every year, being part of a tight and welcoming community!
We'd like to thank all of the students and teachers we worked with, as well as our sponsors: Club Mudgee, Midwest Regional Council and Moolarbencoal!
Also a big thanks to the Mudgee Guardian for their story which you can view in full at https://www.mudgeeguardian.com.au/story/5286104/setting-the-survivor-standard/
We're excited to announce that we have launched our official Instagram page!
After months of planning, and figuring out how to best engage with our young audience, we have entered the world of Instagram in the hope of providing our students and participants with on-going information, encouragement and dialogue.
Whilst we will most definitely be posting plenty of serious, finance related information, we'll also be having a lot of fun with travel tips, work spotlights and life advice from students and other community members.
We'd love you to join us, so if you're on Instagram check us out on @survivorlifeskills
On the eve of our annual week in Mudgee, we would like to thank a brand new sponsor for 2018: Moolarbencoal.
We're thankful to have an organisation like Moolarbencoal appreciate the importance and relevance of the Survivor Life Skills program. Along with Club Mudgee and Midwest Regional Council, Moolarbencoal is supporting our program as we bring it to students in the regional area of Mudgee.
Moolarbencoal does some fantastic work within their community, and we look forward to working with them in the future!

The Australian Governments report Australia's Welfare 2017 is an annual report that covers different issues within different population groups.
Over the past week there has been much discussion within the media regarding two of these particular issues: the changing trends in workforce participation, and the changing trends in house ownership. You can view the full report at https://www.aihw.gov.au/reports/australias-welfare/australias-welfare-2017/data
We work with young people every single day, and are well aware of how these trends can affect youth on a personal level. We're proud to be able to offer a service that addresses these issues. Our employment modules, within the Survivor program, help equip students for entering an ever changing workforce, preparing the best resume, and performing well in interviews. Of course, our budgeting modules are designed to help students develop good budgeting habits from an early age, which certainly has a large impact on entering the property market.
Reports such as this continue to highlight, year-in-year-out, that Australian Youth must be provided with services that address personal financial literacy as this can affect so many areas of an individuals life.
Visiting regional and rural areas of Australia is obviously a different under-taking to visiting our local, inner-city students. Our annual visit to Mudgee takes plenty of planning, organisation and, of course, community support! In that regard, we are thankful to once again have the support of the Midwest Regional Council who offer us annual support for their community.
We'd like to thank Midwest Regional Council for their continued support of the Survivor program, and all of the great work they do within their community.
